For PD Providers

Professional development providers seeking to upgrade the skills of practicing professionals will find a host of informational opportunities created just for them.

We are seeking applications for three types of IRIS services. Faculty and PD Providers interested in taking part can visit this page to get more information and to fill out a brief application.

Tutorials come in many forms and serve many purposes. On our Website, you will find short audio and video descriptions about how to find and efficiently use the IRIS resources.

Web Tours offer groups of faculty, professional development providers, state department administrators, and others an in-depth guided look at the IRIS Website. These hour-long Web Tours require participants to connect through their personal computers. To schedule your own Web Tour, contact us at

Webinars focus on a specific topic or education-related issue. Check out Upcoming Events to learn about future Webinars. Visit the Archived Webinars section to access previous events on topics like response to intervention, classroom management, and fidelity of implementation.

Conference Presentations showcase IRIS services and resources for participants at conferences and other state, regional, and national meetings. To learn about future conference presentations, check out Upcoming Events.

Professional Development (PD) Seminars are daylong training events for those who deliver either induction or professional development services for practicing educators. These training events include an overview of the IRIS Website with particular attention to the use of resources for specific topics in direct PD activities. Though these events are tailored to meet the needs of individual groups, take a look at our sample PD Seminar agenda and standardized PD Seminar Workbook to get a sense of their basic content.

IRIS Materials used in targeted and intensive services are posted on this Website for universal use. These include matrices of national standards and how they align with IRIS resources; Concept Maps that demonstrate how Case Studies, information briefs, research summaries, and Activities can be used to wrap around IRIS Modules for more in-depth learning; and Workbooks for our various Seminar offerings, among much else. To find all that we have to offer, please visit For PD Providers in our Using IRIS section.
